Virigin American Booking Site

Virgin America - Booking is believing

As some of you may have seen/heard about already, Virgin America has overhauled their booking experience. The reason I’m even posting about it is because of the drastic change they’ve made to the user experience in an effort to reimagine/reinvent the way we book flights. I’ll be very interested to see how this experience evolves as users start to poke around a little. But until then, go ahead and take a look around. They even made this awesome site to talk about the new booking site. Seeya!

Ghostlab / Device-Lab

Device-lab

For those of us who have to test websites on multiple devices there seems to be two ways to go. One, is something like BrowserStack which lets you test them all through a browser (which is nice) or two, actually start to pick up these devices so you can test them in the actual device. Although getting each of the new devices seems impractical, let me tell you it makes up for it in being an amazing way to test you web experience. Only one issue, trying to control all these devices. Say hello to Ghostlab and Device-lab. Brought to you by Vanamco all the way from Switzerland. Ghostlab is an app that helps control all your devices at once to really speed up your device testing and Device-lab is a slick way to set up your devices for easy viewing and storing. You can even get them in a bundle and save a little cash. So check this stuff out and maybe we’ll all be lucky enough to have this at one point!

Panda

Panda - site

I’m not sure about you but I enjoy easy ways to stay up on design news and get some inspiration. Well, Panda has found a really simple way to help me out. Created by two fellas, Ahmet Sülek and William ChannerPanda has a chrome extension and a web app to bring you news and inspiration (popular dribble or behance posts). The chrome extension (which I use and am in love with) can replace your default page when you open a new tab or window in chrome. Its kind of awesome, so you should probably use it. I mean, I do. Enjoy!

Mockuuups

Mockuuups

I am all for things that make my life as a designer easier. And when presenting some designs, whether they’re apps or just the mobile version of a site, it can take a little bit of time trying to drop your design into the “someone using the app in real life” type screen for your presentation. With that in mind, Mocckuuups has made my life a little easier. With 12 different templates for the iPhone 5s, you can quickly and easily drop your design into a smart object and BAM! perfectly placed into the phone. And hey, you can even download a free sample to try it out. Thank you, Mockuuups… whoever you are!
