As something I carry everyday, you’d think I’d pay more attention to my wallet. Well, I haven’t. But that changes now. Thanks to the folks over at Supr and one of their most recent kickstarters. Say hello to the Supr Slim 2 Wallet. Pretty slick wallet if you ask me. Nice and simple.
Every once and a while I end up a place with no wifi. Some folks can just tether their phone to their computer. But since I’m grandfathered into AT&Ts unlimited data and to tether my phone i’d have to give up unlimited data, I cannot do such things. Which puts Karma Go right up my alley. A wifi hotspot where you can pay for gbs as you go. No contract. The gbs don’t expire. Now that I just got my Karma Go in the mail after a brutal 3+week wait, it is now a permanent part of my computer bag. It’s much small than I expected it to be. Nice job guys, much appreciated!
P.S. They also just launched a $50 a month for as much data as your fancy little devices can use. Doesn’t make sense to me but I’m sure it may for some.
You remember that time you had a Million Dollars in bills and no low-key bag to carry it around in? No? Just me?… Ok me either. But SDR Traveller has put together a couple different bags that do just that. I mean, it only costs a little under $800. But when you’re talking about carrying around a cool million, I’m guessing $800 is a drop in the bucket. I really like the duffel bag but a price tag of just under $1000 is juusssttt out of my price range. Great stuff though!
If you’re a fan of Cards Against Humanity then you should know about this. Give them some cash and they’ll send you something for 12, 10 or in this case, 8 days in a row. Say Hello to Eight Sensible Gifts For Hanukkah. You’re too late to sign up, but the site is still fun so check it out if you’re looking for a laugh. Stay and listen to the whole video dialogue.
I never thought i’d want to get a neon sign but apparently Neon Mfg. has proven me wrong. They’ve got a few different sayings, graphics or even make your own but I think Hustle is my favorite of what they have. But deep down I’ll probably always want a Work Harder one. Maybe one day I’ll get a custom one. Yea, they do that too. Go take a look at what they got!

I would never turn down the chance to have my very own Genie. Yes, preferably it’d be more of a traditional, Aladdin’s Genie but hey, I’ll take what I can get. The folks over at Blackboard put together Job Genie. It’s a pretty good tool for those that may be feeling lost on the finding the perfect job for them. They ask you a couple quick questions and then start giving you possible career paths. They even give you pros, cons and some annual salaries. Check it out, maybe you’ll find there’s an even better career path you didn’t even think of!
I know what you’re thinking. I love Oreos but I wish I could put my own personal touch on my oreo experience. Have no fear, Oreo has you covered! Oreo has put together a fun little web experience that lets you customize your oreo packaging. Well, you can’t completely customize the packaging but you can now put your own touch on it. You select between two based illustrations by Jeremyville or Timothy Goodman, crop, color and add a few other graphic elements to make it your own. Its kind of sweet. Nice job oreo!
Head on over and start (semi)designing your own packaging!
Finding good inspiration for web fonts can be hard. Even with all the fonts we do have on the web, they’re not all great. So having another place to find some great font inspiration knowing all fonts are free and web friendly is always helpful. Tobias Ahlin decided to help you out. He made a nice little page with some great uses of google fonts. If you like that, he also has a collection of css spinners. Go ahead, go check that stuff out!

Trying to decide your hourly freelance rate can be a tough decision. Are you priced too high? too low? What does do other freelancers like you charge? Have no fear, the folks over at Bonsai (an online contact builder for freelancers) put together a nice site that may be some help to you. They’ve created this sexy little site that allows you to Explore Freelance Rates that aggregates rates within their system as well as ” private and public data sets, such as user surveys, as well as submissions by users”. You can filter by the type of design, your years experience and even your region of the United States. So take advantage of it. Head on over and see where you fall on the scale! (and maybe even add your own rate to help add to the data!)
You probably have used a Logitech mouse or keyboard at least once before, hell you may be using one right now. You and I can both agree the Logitech brand was kind of awful. Definitely not the worst as far as the general public is probably concerned but if i’m gonna put my designer critiquing pants on I’d have to say “… blahhh”.
But apparently they decided to put an end to that. Kicked off by a rebranding done by Design Studio, Logitech turned its focus to their website and launched a brand new snazzy website. If you like color, great product imagery and some flat desig,n pull up a chair. Go on, take a look!
